Why this scope

We work where expenditure already exists. The categories below are bought repeatedly, against existing maintenance and sustaining-capital budgets, by operations that have already decided they need them. We are not asking a buyer to create a new budget line for an unproven technology.

Australian manufacturers in this space build for conditions (abrasive slurries, remote sites, long maintenance intervals, high ambient temperatures) that make the product credible elsewhere.

The procurement situations we work with

TriggerWhy it matters
Scheduled replacement of wear componentsRecurring, dated, already budgeted
Planned shutdown supplyPublished dates create a hard procurement deadline
Dewatering capacity shortfallNon-discretionary: water is moved or production stops
New environmental or discharge obligationsCompliance-driven, not optional
Excessive incumbent lead timesThe most common reason a buyer looks at an alternative
Single-source riskQualifying a second source is cheap insurance
Distributor product-line gapsA stated gap outranks any desk analysis

Out of scope in this division

Where we are the wrong party, we say so

  • Mobile plant and fixed processing plant
  • Comminution equipment
  • Anything requiring engineering design authority for a site
  • Anything requiring us to specify, size or certify equipment

Product selection and sizing is always done by the manufacturer's engineers, on the basis of information you provide, and is their statement, not ours.

Current status

This division is active, meaning it is the sector Austera Global is working in and the only one presented as such. We do not list supplier names or product claims on this website. Suppliers are named to a buyer once an opportunity is registered, and every product claim we pass on is the manufacturer’s own, attributed to them, from documentation they have approved.

It sits alongside water and environmental, a sector we intend to open next, and the other sectors under consideration beyond it. The full list, and what has to be true before each one opens, is set out on sectors.
