What we are, plainly
Austera Global identifies specific procurement requirements at international operations and connects them to Australian manufacturers that can meet them. We are remunerated by the manufacturer.
We do not charge you anything, and we accept no payment, commission, gift or benefit from you or from anyone on your side of a transaction. We disclose this because you are entitled to know it, and because a fee arrangement you were not told about is not one you should accept.
Why not just contact the manufacturer yourself?
You can, and for a manufacturer you have already found and already deal with, you should. We are not proposing to sit between you and a relationship that works.
The problem we address is the one before that. Australia has a large industrial manufacturing base, most of it privately held, much of it not exporting into your region, and very little of it easy to search from outside the country. Working out which companies genuinely manufacture rather than distribute, which hold current product liability cover for your territory, which have a defined process for a warranty claim raised eight thousand kilometres away, and which will actually reply to an unsolicited overseas enquiry. That is several weeks of work, and it is work that produces nothing if the answer is no.
We have done it before we contact you, and we tell you what we found. If the honest answer is that no supplier we can represent meets your requirement, that is what you will get, and we would rather say it than route you toward a near-miss.
Where we currently stand
Austera Global is newly established. We have completed no transactions, hold no supplier agreements yet, and carry no insurance or certification. You would establish that in a few minutes, so we would rather you had it from us before you spend any time on us.
It also means we will not be showing you a client list or a case study, because we do not have one to show. What we can show you is the standard every supplier is assessed against, the process by which your own organisation would be screened, and the fact that you are not asked to pay us anything at any point. Screening itself, and how it sits alongside export-control obligations, is set out on sanctions and export compliance.
Who is responsible for what
Every transaction we coordinate carries a written responsibility matrix, agreed by all parties before contracting.
| Responsibility | Austera Global | Manufacturer | Local partner | You |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Introduction and coordination | ● | ○ | ○ | ○ |
| Specification and sizing | ○ | ● | ○ | ○ |
| Quotation and pricing | ○ | ● | ○ | ○ |

What we ask of you, and when
Almost nothing, and nothing at all to begin with. Most of the work behind an introduction is ours and you never see it.
| When | What we ask | |
|---|---|---|
| First contact | Nothing. We tell you we are paid by the Australian supplier, take nothing from you, and add no margin, before anything else is discussed | |
| While we qualify | A conversation, not a form. Requirement, timing, budget, approval route, and who supplies it now. We will never send you a questionnaire | |
| Verification and screening | Nothing from you. Entity verification and sanctions screening are done independently, from official registries and the Australian Government's Consolidated List, never by asking you to confirm it | |
| Before an introduction | Five things: your registered legal name and jurisdiction; the site and country; a named contact with authority; written acknowledgement of how we are paid; and confirmation the requirement is genuine and budgeted |
Images are illustrative. Not Austera Global-owned facilities or sites.
We screen independently rather than asking you to self-certify, because a declaration from the party being screened is worth nothing to you, to the manufacturer, or to us.
What you can expect
How we behave
- We contact you only where we have identified a specific requirement, and we will tell you what led us to you.
- We make no technical claims. Every specification, sizing, performance and compliance question goes directly to the manufacturer's named technical contact, normally the same day.
- You contract with the manufacturer, not with Austera Global. We are not a party to the supply.
- Spare parts, warranty claims from your site, commissioning and local service are set out in writing before contracting, not discovered afterwards.
- If the requirement is already committed or the timing is wrong, tell us and we will close it off.
How we verify and screen
Before any introduction we identify the contracting entity and its parent, screen all parties against the Australian Government’s Consolidated List and other applicable regimes, and confirm the procurement route. We do this so a manufacturer’s engineering time is spent on real requirements, and so neither side is exposed to a transaction that should not proceed.
We will decline a transaction where a sanctions or integrity issue is unresolved, and we will say so rather than quietly stop responding.
The same verification standards, and the registration details behind them, are published in the trust centre. If your requirement sits outside industrial and mining supply, the sectors we assess page sets out where we are looking next, and the supplier side of the same model is described on overseas opportunities for Australian suppliers.
Submit a requirement
You can put a requirement to us rather than ringing anybody. It is read by a person and answered either way, and we are never paid by a buyer, so nothing is being sold to you.
Entity verification and sanctions screening happen before anything moves, and the form asks about end use because industrial goods carry export control obligations that consumer goods do not. If we cannot help, we would rather say so than keep you warm.
